“Those taking part – drivers, managers, and engineers – are always working in pursuit of excellence in a highly competitive environment. Performance at the Limit is a detailed analysis of this world, carried out with scientific approach.”
“Performance at the Limit, published by Cambridge University Press articulates perfectly the split-second gap between also ran, good and great. It’s about leadership, preparation and amazing teamwork; without it you will simply fail to compete against those who have remained in pole position and who accepted long ago that ‘good enough’ is no longer good enough! If you want to learn what it takes to get to the top and how to win, then this is the book for you.”
‘Performance at the Limit’ was researched and written by Richard West and his co authors, Professor Mark Jenkins and Ken Pasternak and was first published in 2005 and as a second edition in 2008. A bespoke South Asian Edition was published in 2011. Originally published in English, the first edition was also made available in Japanese.
The third edition of 'Performance at the Limit', bringing the latest facts, information and views from Grand Prix Motor Racing, is due for publication in February 2016. A further television series is also in the planning stages.
